Royal Engineers carved wooden box

The carved insignia identifies a British Royal Engineers association with high confidence and appears to incorporate the George VI cypher. Construction and ornament make a Kashmir woodworking origin plausible, but neither the workshop nor the place and date of manufacture is established.
